20 SEC. 503. EXEMPTION FROM EXCISE TAX FOR CERTAIN
21 WOODEN ARROWS DESIGNED FOR USE BY
22 CHILDREN.
23 (a) IN GENERAL.—Paragraph (2) of section 4161(b)
24 is amended by redesignating subparagraph (B) as sub-301
1 paragraph (C) and by inserting after subparagraph (A)
2 the following new subparagraph:
3 ‘‘(B) EXEMPTION FOR CERTAIN WOODEN
4 ARROW SHAFTS.—Subparagraph (A) shall not
5 apply to any shaft consisting of all natural
6 wood with no laminations or artificial means of
7 enhancing the spine of such shaft (whether sold
8 separately or incorporated as part of a finished
9 or unfinished product) of a type used in the
0 manufacture of any arrow which after its as-
1 sembly—

2 ‘‘(i) measures /16 of an inch or less in
3 diameter, and
4 ‘‘(ii) is not suitable for use with a bow
5 described in paragraph (1)(A).’’.
6 (b) EFFECTIVE DATE.—The amendments made by
7 this section shall apply to shafts first sold after the date
8 of enactment of this Act.
Now (and please pardon my language since right now it is the only way i can express my frustration), can ANYONE tell me just what the fuck this has to do with an economic bailout?

It’s unbelievable that Congress wasted a single moment on arrows for kids.
BTW – Hunting arrows for compound bows are big business. My son and I were in Bass Pro Shop last weekend hoping to pick up some arrows. Without tips, arrows ran from about $5 to $10 a piece and some maybe more. We went to Walmart and got the $3 arrows. There couldn’t be that big of a difference, especially to a moderately skilled archer.

Hey they all are running a campaign for change so by all means re-elect these assholes. They have our best interests at heart. Aren’t there 6 candidates for pres right now? Don’t ever say you don’t have a choice other than Dems or Rep. Uninformed idiot voters!

I can not believe that the tax paying Americans are going to have to pay for these criminals wrong doings!! The smart thing to do to fix the economy would be to take that 700 billion in bailout money and divide it equally among the real Americans.. The middle class taxpayers!! The folks who got screwed by the bad home loans and such.. Allow them to put that money back into the economy in the way that they choose..
The main problem and cause is this corrupt republican administration who has been more concerned with pushing their agenda and their special interests rather than actually paying attention to real issues that have been right in front of their faces the whole time.. like the economy!!!
hmmm.. Lets all think about this one.. In addition the loss of so many American lives, the war in Iraq has racked up a bill of something like 690 billion dollars of taxpayers money.. Seems strange to me that the economy bailout is for 700 billion? It’s not hard to see where the problem lies.. Wake up morons!! Health care and the medicare system is next!!
